Hello to all my Brothers
& Sisters.
WELCOME
HOME
!
Welcome to our Website! Our goal is to reunite
ALL Veterans.
"If we're all here, We will all Find each Other"
My name is Richard Palmeri . I am one of the founders of this Fantastic
and Much Needed Website. I served in the US NAVY 1970-74. Went to boot camp in Great Lakes, ILL from Oct 70- Dec 70, in Co. 370, than to Memphis Tenn.
For fleet prep school. Where I Received orders to the Carrier USS RANGER CVA-61 in port, in the Philippines, Subic Bay, heading to Gulf of
Tonkin, Vietnam. Aboard the RANGER, I was first in V-4 Fuels Div, then transferred to
GM Div. Guided Missiles, When I look back, I try to forget the bad times and focus on the Friendships and Bonds that were forged in war. They were some of
the best times of my life.
"GOOD TIMES & GOOD FRIENDS"
I come from a basic Patriotic American family. My Grandfather (Eugene
Palmeri) served in WWI, in the US Army, my Dad (Joseph Palmeri ) served in WWII, aboard the Battle Ship USS Texas and participated in the invasion
of OKINAWA , and The invasion of IWO JIMA. My Uncle (Thomas Palmeri ), served in the US NAVY, during WWII, in the SEA-BEES. My Grandfather and
Father also served as past commanders in the AMERICAN LEGION.
For the past 20+ yrs Ive been in the automobile business. Sales,
Leasing and Finance. Presently I own a used car lot with my son, Thomas
Joseph Palmeri, named after my Dad and Uncle.
Recently while on a camping trip with Jack and Friends. We came up with
the idea for this site. "If there was only a way we could find our friends"
Well here it is
Since Opening This site it has brought Jack and I more satisfaction then
anyone could ever imagine! It truly has been a great experience in our lives and continues to be so even more each day ! We never imagined how much we
could change the lives of these Veterans from All Wars and All Era's that we have reunited . The Tears, the Emotions, and all the love you could imagine.
"The American Veteran" truly an unbelievable breed.
Just recently, We stared working with
several Veterans Outreach Programs in helping to locate the Buddy of a lost Veteran. It has shown to be
of great help to those individual Veterans who suffer from the pain of war
(PTSD). It has helped in bringing closure to many unfortunate Brothers &
Sisters that just have not returned fully, to the country that they sacrificed SO much of their lives for.
For those that have not been lucky enough to be reunited with a buddy as of yet, We urge you to keep on trying ! You have NO Idea! what it is truly like. We here at
AVS are working continuously to add Veterans to our Data Base, which is updated by the minute. We have been blessed with a crew and a technical staff that has
given so much of their lives to our success and often forgot about there own. And some are not even Veterans.
For those of you that have been Lucky enough to successfully reunite with a buddy. We want to thank you for letting us be a part of these unforgettable experiences. This is the best reward we have here at
AVS, We get to share in them all...
To all VETERANS we want you to know that you have a Friend here at
AVS,
and we will continue to help you and be here for anything we can possibly help you with, and we ask that as a team that you all get involved with this
site, we need all the help we can get. This site belongs to you all. The internet is the best thing that ever happened to us. Let's use it to help
ourselves, Help us Pass the Word!
